Our Favorite Spots
We are lucky enough to stay at many B&B's, Hotels, Boutique Hotels and these we love.
Hotels
Kimpton Taconic, Manchester VT
Manchester Vermont is the quintessential Vermont town with plenty to do in all seasons. Lots of nearby ski resorts (Bromley, Stratton & Killington most noteworthy), fly fishing (take a class from Orvis who is headquartered in town), shopping at the many local and outlet stores, stroll downtown and take in a bite or cocktail at it numerous eateries and bars as STAY AT THIS LOVELY BOUTIQUE HOTEL. Rooms impeccably appointed, many with fireplace, and feel so comfortable. Lobby you will enjoy sipping a drink and getting to know your fellow guests and a bar/restaurant (The Copper Grouse) that you must attend at least once while in town.

Rustler Lodge, Alta UT
Location, Location, Location...yup this is one of the few hotels up the mountain road and on the mountain (literal ski in, ski out lodging). The rooms are rustic but the restaurant, bar, lobby are spectacular. You come to ski, hot tub, drink, eat sleep repeat. You must get the meal plan (breakfast/dinner) as the food is out of this world. Once you have experienced it you will understand why so many faithful return to this lodge.

CoCoBay, Antigua
Set on pristine cliffside in a remote area of Antigua sits this charmer of a resort. Is limited to less than 100 couples, everyone in their own bungalow, and has everything you want/need. Two great pools (we loved the upper one on the edge of the cliff, super attentive staff, lovely dining hall, tasty cocktails, a beach to lounge on if desired, lots of fun water sports but mostly you come to re-charge your batteries. One excursion that is a must is a sunset barbecue at Shirley Heights (crazy fun), reserve yourself a private afternoon in the black pool of Sheer Rocks, and have a sunset dinner at Sheer Rocks.

Four Seasons, Tamarindo Mexico
Ooh La La this is not the Mexico you typically know; tough to get too as it is very secluded in the southwest corner of Mexico but once you are on the property you will not want to leave. Two amazing beaches (no crazy vendors) only you, a few other guests and nature. Don't worry cocktail bar perfectly placed to ensure a good time. The golf is spectacular, the Spa is off the hook and don't even get me started on the rooms. We had a 1300 square foot suite with infinity pool up on the cliff looking out on to the ocean simply amazing. Food was local and don't be afraid to eat the grasshoppers. The staff amazing all I can say is if you get the chance do this you wont be disappointed.

Stein Eriksens, Park City UT
Alright just because I am Scandinavian don't think I am biased. This is one sweet spot; located halfway up the mountain Stein's give you every possible bougie ski experience you can want. Great food, drinks, views, fireplaces, excursions...like you will have it all and want to stay all winter. Have to book a year out but do it you will enjoy it.

Hotel Del Coronado, San Diego CA
If you are staying in San Diego the Del is a must. Massive old Victorian hotel right on the beach that is just all a buzz with energy. Expect lots of guests but don't worry they are prepared to handle it. Yes the place has age but it wont feel that way; rooms are nice, beach is great, activities so fun, zoo nearby and I suggest you rent Porsche and drive the PCH (I did and it convinced me to buy my 911).

The Liberty Hotel, Boston MA
Ok ever check into a hotel that was once a prison and kept dare i say it prison charm (anyone want to use some cuffs - LOL). They hand you champagne as you check in, you may find some fun event happening in the lobby, bars and restaurants in the venue rock and yup room are great. Stay here is you get the chance.

Disney Yacht & Beach Club, Orlando FL
Happiest place in the world. Loved it as a kid, loved bringing my kids and look forward to bringing the grandkids one day. Yacht & Beach Club offers everything for a great Disney experience. You can walk to Epcot and or the Boardwalk. Has ridiculous pool(s) with lazy river, water slides, etc. Has that old south charm, movies on the beach, cookies at night, awesome restaurants and bars just my absolute favorite place to stay when at Disney. If you haven't done it do the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue dinner at Fort Wilderness (so fun).

The Breakers, Palm Beach FL
Lifehouse, Nantucket
Nantucket is so fun! This B&B is spectacular. Close to town so you can walk in for food, shopping, art galleries. The B&B itself pampers you, cute comfortable rooms, bikes for use, innkeeper that would give you shirt off his/her back, lovely breakfast and tasty treats throughout the day. Summer or fall this a great getaway.

Rustler Lodge, Alta
First lets remember their are so few options up the mountain road at Alta (and that road to the ski mountain closes regularly due to too much snow) so staying on the mountain itself is a luxury. This place you stay at for the experience, not the rooms, as you will not be impressed by the rooms. I do however love this place; is feel like staying ta a family house. Location is perfect, literally ski in ski out, if you are lucky the mountain road is closed so all the yahoos stuck down below while you ski fresh powder, get the meal plan as the food is GREAT and get out of your room and into the lobby or bar where everyone is hanging out having a drink, playing games, talking about the ski day you just had and the one yet to come. Nice outdoor pool and hot tub as well....this is an experience you want to have!

Cliff Lodge, Snowbird
On the mountain, big plus, great location, another plus, breakfast and dinner on the top level are awesome, plus again, hot tub and pool are great (relaxing plus), at Snowbird and next to Alta (double plus) a little pricey but you are skiing what did you expect

Zermatt, Switzerland
Zermatt is a ski experience unlike any other. Ski off piste under the Matterhorn and be blown away by conditions, views, the expansiveness of the ski terrain only to be outdone by the restaurants, bars, ski into Italy one day and Ski back in the afternoon. Is a bucket list item that if you can you should do...had a big group with me and we loved this AirBNB. Was in a perfect location, is everything it advertises it is and wont disappoint.

The Setai, Miami Beach
Located just two blocks north of the Art Deco scene and in the heart of South Beach you will find The Setai. An upscale, tasteful condo/hotel experience with in demand restaurants, Spa and "place to Be" scene. Rooms are luxurious, pool refreshing and oh yeah on the beach. Cant beat this place
